Personnel Registration
Once registered with IATAN, employees and independent contractors can be registered on the agency Personnel List.

Personnel Registration is the first step toward obtaining an ID Card. The IATAN Personnel List serves as the official record of individuals associated with an IATAN-accredited agency and helps maintain accurate employment information for the ID Card program. Agency Owners and Account Administrators can add eligible agency's staff to the Personnel List through IATAN service on the IATA Customer Portal.

Participation in the Personnel Registration program is voluntary and available to eligible individuals working at an IATAN-accredited location. Personnel must be registered under the specific accredited location where they perform their duties. To be eligible for Personnel Registration, individuals must:

  • Meet the legal minimum working age in the jurisdiction where their duties are performed
  • Work a minimum of 5 hours per week
  • Be regularly included on the payroll or commission records of the accredited location
  • Be employed and reported in accordance with all applicable employment laws and regulations

Once registration is completed, the individual will receive a confirmation email and be assigned a 6-digit PRIN. The PRIN is required for ID Card transactions including first-time order and renewals. While registration on the Personnel List does not automatically qualify an individual for an ID Card, it is a mandatory prerequisite for the application process.

IATAN reserves the right to request supporting documentation, such as a W-2 or 1099 form, to verify information submitted as part of the Personnel Registration process.
