What is IATAN?

IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network) is a department of IATA and has been servicing all aspects of the US Travel and Tourism industry for more than 20 years.
IATAN offers you global recognition and global reach, which no other accreditation program can.

Is IATAN run by the airlines?

No - IATAN is guided by a diversified Board which is comprised of all sectors of the industry, including home based businesses, large corporations, hotels, cruise lines and airlines, these representatives combining over 400 years of industry experience.

Does IATAN set commission levels?

No - The rate of commission is set between the individual business and each supplier.

Why should I be IATAN accredited?

IATAN’s programs are recognized around the world.
Accreditation offers global recognition of your business and, at the same time, gives your business global reach to industry suppliers. Additionally, the Accreditation gives access to all IATAN programs, including:

Who can apply for the IATAN Accreditation?

IATAN's accreditation recognizes the diversified and versatile U.S. travel professional, Meeting Planners and Event Planners who can and will continue to meet universally recognized requirements and who sell travel and travel related services.

Which Airlines offer discount travel with the IATA/IATAN ID Card?

Airlines require proof that you are a bonafide travel professional in order to be eligible for reduce rate or AD75 discount travel. Many airlines accept the IATA/IATAN ID Card and / or copy of an IATA/IATAN Personnel List as an industry credential to validate eligibility for travel concessions.
Each airline's policy for granting concessions is determined solely by the airline. If you have questions regarding the rules and procedures for booking these concessions, please contact the airline directly. Participating Airlines include:
